As of posting, my Dell Inspiron 14 notebook running Windows 10 has been running a scan and repair of my hard drive for 33 consecutive hours. For at least the first 22 hours, it was stuck at 7% completion which it reached soon after beginning. After sleeping overnight I woke up to find it at 9%. The progress spinner is still spinning.
